This course will be offered following District Conference April 11-13 at Summit Pacific College.
This course is an advanced study on selected passages in Pauline writings. It will address some of the “flash points” of Paul’s theology as they relate to specific issues within both the Pentecostal, and contemporary Evangelical world. Subjects such as the doctrine of the atonement, Paul’s understanding of the role of the Law, of gender relationships both in ministry and in the home, the ongoing debate between Spirit and mind, and the centrality of Scripture and Spirit in our hermeneutic. The course emphasizes the necessity of biblical doctrine and the work of the Spirit in today’s church.
