Eighty per cent of Canadians live in metro areas. The city of Vancouver has 2-3 % of its population who regularly attend an
evangelical Gospel oriented church.

Fifty per cent of the city is single adult.

District Response and Priorities

- For the past five years a guiding group has been meeting to pray, strategize and recommend the next action steps for ministry
in urban Vancouver.

- The result has been new initiatives for the city including a church plant on the UBC campus directed by
Point Grey Community Church, development of a ministry team to serve in the Tinseltown and Yaletown
communities and enhanced incarnational ministry in the downtown Eastside.

- Church plants and other initiatives are taking shape for the Greater Victoria area.
