BC/Yukon District, The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada

::ABORIGINAL MINISTRIES::

Most evangelical ministries are woefully weak at reaching in-city aboriginals, addressing the long-standing needs and woundedness
of our first nations people, and at finding effective and lasting ways of providing theological education and leadership development for
a new generation of First Nations leaders.

District Response and Priorities:

- Leadership development with a renewed emphasis placed on consistent leadership development opportunities especially of
   young emerging leaders.

- Church planting and outreach with special focus placed on strengthening hub churches to reach approximately 200 reserves
   in British Columbia in addition to the urban communities.

- Bridge building which is focused on developing team ministries and strategies that will help encourage native-to-native, young
   to old and white to native reconciliation.
