District Conference 2018 | LIFT

District Conference 2018 | LIFT

As I reflect over the past ten years of leadership within our district network, I am reminded of so many significant moments shared together with you at our annual district conferences.  Our dependency on God’s Holy Spirit and our love for one another continually inspires me.

Our next conference is coming soon to Evangel Church in the beautiful city of Kelowna.  We are so grateful to Pastor Will Sohnchen and the Evangel team for hosting our gathering this March.  We have invited some great plenary speakers to stimulate our thinking about the missional priority of multiplication.  Our speakers will include Jenni Colwell (Family Life Pastor of Glad Tidings Church in Burlington), Carey Nieuwhof (Founding Pastor of Connexus, a multi-site church near Toronto) and Junie Josue (Planting Pastor of the International Worship Centre in Winnipeg).

Our theme this year is LIFT.”  Based on the scripture from John 12:32, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself,” it is our desire to LIFT Jesus up, make his name famous and glorify Him throughout our district, nation and world.

We invite you to join us on March 5, 2018, as we celebrate Dave & Julie Solmes’ tenure as the Assistant Superintendent of the BC/Yukon District Network Office.  During the conference, we will also feature a panel discussion with Pastor Carey, along with several specialized learning communities that focus our attention on strengthening and extending the ministry of our local churches and ministry organizations.  We are also offering special children’s sessions which will run concurrently with our plenary gatherings.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our district conference in Kelowna.

Please register early on our conference website so we can make the appropriate preparations for your time with us.

We’re better together,

Rev. Kenneth A. Russell
District Superintendent
